We had beautiful weather for our season opener, which could account
for the low shooter turnout. Everybody had something else they had to
do. Hopefully next month will be a repeat of the weather and an improvement
in attendance.
Bob Ochs had the only 40 this month in Unlimited small bore, and Jim
Kesser topped the field pistol with a 35 in Production and 32 in PAS.
Great shooting guys! There weren't any air pistol shooters this month
so there's plenty of room for improvement there. Since one of my helpers
permanently defected to Florida, and another was on an ocean cruise,
I was left to try and set up the range alone until Bob Ochs and Jim
Kesser showed up to help out. They also hung around long enough to put
things away at the end of the day, along with the help of Don Leisure.
Thanks a bunch. I really appreciated it.
I'd also like to thank Glenn Pound for taking on some of the range officer
duties and calling the line. He did a great job and it allowed me to
get in a couple of matches and do some socializing too. Until next month….take
care.
